People Aggression
I adopted Paxton, a 5 year old Cocker Spaniel, who needed obedience training but most alarming was that within a month he began to exhibit unwanted behaviors: Anyone coming to the house was in jeopardy of being bitten; while on leash he would growl, bare his teeth, and lunge at some people and dogs . He also would attempt to chase trucks if given the opportunity and was exhibiting territorial issues which all were beyond my knowledge and experience to deal with.
I saw Lori's advertisement flier in the window of The Groomery and inquired about her reputation. I was told a number of customers had used her services and were grateful to have found her. Paxton's training began the moment she entered my house and after a bit of in-home training, we went to the park for our first official one-on-one training session.
During this first training session I observed Lori to be an experienced and dedicated dog trainer who was able to demonstrate training techniques, verbally coach those methods, and convey an assurance that it was all going to work out in the end. I realized that Lori was actually training me to train Paxton.
The more I observed Lori around dogs, I could tell she was a natural at training, she loved what she was doing, and the dogs seemed to want to perform for her. Lori does not have a magic wand but under her master tutelage, Paxton and I employed the tools Lori gave us at each training session and in the end my Paxton was a completely different dog. His unwanted behaviors are the biggest turn around. Since Lori identified his behavioral issues and gave me the tools to correct those issues, Paxton is happier and a much more adjusted member of the family.
The biggest compliment I can pay Lori and her training expertise is to praise her skills to friends and strangers who are in need of a dog trainer.
